Bequests

Consider a lasting gift to the Lititz Public Library that costs nothing during your lifetime.

Charitable bequests are an important part of estate planning. The Lititz Public Library has been fortunate to receive generous support from farsighted individuals who made contributions through their Wills, often at a more significant level than they could have made with an outright donation.

A bequest is a legacy that enriches future generations.

Supporters can make a charitable gift by naming the Lititz Public Library as a beneficiary in their Will. Your Will can include gifts in the form of property, a percentage of your estate or the residue of your estate (property remaining after other bequest)

Although only a few sentences are needed to make a bequest in your Will, it is recommended that benefactors consult with a lawyer to prepare the Will or Codicil.

If you wish to make a bequest to the library, we suggest this wording:

I give, devise and bequeath [$ fixed amount or percentage] to the Lititz Public Library, Inc., a Pennsylvania non-profit corporation (EIN 23-6406263) located in Lititz, Pennsylvania 17543.
