Join Penn State University Senior Astronomy Lecturer, Dr. Christopher Palma, on a scientific research endeavor of galactic proportions! Dr. Palma will describe some work he did with his research team, when they discovered a unique feature around the nearby Milky Way-like spiral galaxy NGC 4013. In particular, he will talk about how the team did their work and what processes were required to make the discovery.
