Historian Randolph Harris of Lancaster will share an illustrated presentation on the origins of the Underground Railroad movement in the border counties of Southeast Pennsylvania, from the western edges of Franklin County and eastward to Philadelphia. The presentation examines the national legacy of the Underground Railroad as the first mass uprising of civil disobedience in America since the Revolution, forming into a racially-integrated & religiously-inspired civil rights movement.
