Outdoor Backyard Concert: Jamie O’Brien and the Launies

Jamie O’Brien and the Launies are back in the area to play live. O’Brien hails from a London-Irish family and he utilizes this special background in his musical performances. The Launies were formed by Jamie in 1997, and since then, he has had multiple multi-talented band mates share the stage with him.The band features established musicians who have mastered instruments such as the fiddle, mandolin, and guitar, as well as engaging vocals will delight the audience with a rare repertoire of songs originating from England and Ireland. This much loved band will delight audiences with upbeat, toe tapping music from the Music Hall traditions of earlier times. The witty melodies as well as the moving renditions will provide an evening of music for all to enjoy! This concert takes place in the library’s backyard. Please bring a blanket or chairs to sit. If there is bad weather we will move inside and only those who have preregistered will have a seat. Online registration begins July 14^th.
