Walk Around the Building
This week, sidewalks went in around the building, which will provide a new walking path that will allow for entering through the back and front doors of the building!
Wrapping Up the Exterior
This week, work continued inside the new extensions to the library and our new cabinets and countertops arrived! We also saw the finishing of the exterior of these sections with features that match the existing building, making the new additions look like they’ve always been there!
Growing More Beautiful
As the construction work turns internal, this week we’ve seen paint go on the walls for the new extensions! On the outside, the pergola above what will become the back entrance to the building is up and is a new feature we’re very excited about!
The More Things Change
This week, we’ve had a lot going on at the library! After the completion of the new roof and laying the concrete for the patio, construction has moved largely indoors.
Excuse Us For the Noise
This week, the noise in the library is at a new record as the roof is replaced.
Working Inside Out
As the weeks have gone by and more work has been accomplished on our new additions to the library, less and less is visible from the outside of the building, but the work continues inside!
Letting in the Light
This week, new windows were installed on the additions to the library and new windows are replacing the old around the building.
Finishing Up Framing
As the exciting changes continue to the outside of our building, this week we’ve seen the framing of the new additions finish up with the roofs being placed.

This week, the construction crew began to frame the new spaces being added to the library. Every week, we are more excited to see how the space is shaping up!
Backyard Storytimes Continue
During construction, we’ve been fortunate to be able to continue our popular Backyard Storytimes, now hosted in the Veterans Honor Park!

Today we held our groundbreaking ceremony and construction is well under way.

What’s Happening Behind the Scenes (And What Comes Next)
This week, landscaping is happening around the building and site preparation and erosion control will start next! After this step, the construction crew can begin earthwork and laying foundations for the additions.

As part of our Room to Grow capital campaign, site preparation is beginning around the building. This marks the first visible step toward expanding and improving the space our community uses every day.
