“A Look at Libraries” Lecture Series

To help celebrate our 25th anniversary in the current location we will be having a year(ish)-long Lecture Series, A Look at Libraries. The first part of our sessions (January-April) will focus on libraries in their historical and current context. In May we will focus on the Lititz Public Library specifically, from its founding in 1936 to its current iteration. In June we will have some fun discussing the depiction of libraries in popular culture and how those images influence what we expect of our libraries. Finally, from August through November we will focus on libraries of the future – both in the imagination and in reality.
