We’re excited to kick off a capital campaign to grow and improve the Lititz Public Library – a project designed to support our community, honor our shared history, and ensure the library continues to serve future generations.
Why Now?
Friends, families, children, teens, and seniors – our library has long been a place where connection, discovery and community happen. Yet as our usage has grown and the needs of our patrons have evolved, the time has come for a space that meets today’s expectations and tomorrow’s possibilities.
Our Vision
This campaign is about more than building walls. It is about creating:
- Expanded children’s learning spaces – Adding a dedicated children’s programming room so more children can participate in early literacy programs and storytimes – alleviating waitlists.
- Flexible meeting and collaboration areas – Providing more spaces for tutoring, study sessions, and small business meetings, addressing one of Lititz’s greatest needs for gathering and learning.
- Accessibility for all – Ensuring that every community member can comfortably and safely use the library’s resources and spaces, regardless of physical ability or age.
The Plan
While we are currently awaiting final township approval of our land-development plan, progress is already underway behind the scenes. During this interim phase, we are finalizing design elements and planning ways to bring people behind the scenes of the library and building milestones.
