Library Director – Lititz Public Library

The Lititz Public Library Board of Trustees seeks a dynamic, energetic and innovative community-minded leader with proven administrative, fiscal, operations and public service experience as its next Library Director. The new director will join in our continuing process to develop and deliver a strong goal-oriented strategic plan.

The successful candidate will have a creative approach to planning, knowledge of library trends and technology, strong commitment to customer service, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to relate well to the public and library staff.

Lititz is a vibrant and growing community surrounded by rolling farmland in the heart of Lancaster County, PA. It blends a rich history dating from the mid-18th Century with contemporary development.  The Lititz Public Library serves a population of 32,388 people and has an annual budget of $800,000.  With a staff of 11 FTEs, the Library saw 162,809 visitors in addition to checking out 351,876 items and 43,562 e-books while offering 907 programs for 19,559 children and adults last year.

 

Qualifications:  Required MLS from an ALA accredited institution.  Desired minimum of five years progressively responsible administrative and supervisory experience. 

Salary Range: $60,000 – 80,000; up to 5% matching 401k available
